February 2006, the World Harmony Foundation was awarded Accreditation and Consultative status to the United Nations Environment Programme’s Governing Council.

Harmony Bell for Peace at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City
January 21, 2006, the Harmony Bell for Peace was rung by the H.E. Mr. Xanana Gusmao, President of Timor-Leste, and H.E. Mr. Jose Ramos Horta, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate from Timor-Leste at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. A Celebration Dinner at the Fashion Institute which followed the ceremony was donated by Mr. Frank Liu, President of the World Harmony Foundation.

United Nations Global Compact Conference in Shanghai, China
December 2005, members of the World Harmony Foundation lead a delegation of NGOs to the United Nations Global Compact Conference that was held in Shanghai, China.

Creating Partnerships for Peace Dinner at the National Arts Club in New York
November 23, 2005, Mr. Frank Liu, President of the World Harmony Foundation hosted a Creating Partnerships for Peace Dinner, bringing together International and Local Business Leaders with NGO representatives and United Nations Officials at the National Arts Club in New York City.

UN60th Anniversary Ceremony and Celebration
October 24th, 2005, during the UN60th Anniversary Ceremony and Celebration at United Nations Headquarters in New York City the World Harmony Foundation’s Harmony Bell for Peace was first officially rung by H.E. Mr. Kofi Annan, Secretary General of the UN, H.E. Mr. Jan Eliasson, President of the UN60th General Assembly and H.E. Mr. Minhea Motoc, Ambassador of Romania to the United Nations, he was the President of the Security Council for October 2005, ringing in “A Time for Renewal” the theme of the UN60th Anniversary.

Co-sponsorship and Donation for the UN60th Anniversary Posters
October, 2005, Mr. Frank Liu, President of the World Harmony Foundation co-sponsored along with Mayors for Peace the donation of the printing for the “A Time for Renewal” UN60th Anniversary Posters and the UN Charter Posters to the United Nations with a total of 20,000 posters being distributed worldwide by the United Nations for the UN60th Anniversary.
