Established in July 2004, the World Harmony Foundation is dedicated to
building Cultures of Peace and Sustainable Environments for all people.
We promote the ideals and principles of the United Nations Charter and
the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. To further support these ideals,
our organization donated to the United Nations, the printing of the "A
Time for Renewal", UN60th Anniversary Posters and the UN60th Charter
Posters for the United Nations 60th Anniversary Celebration to be distributed
worldwide.
The Harmony Bell for Peace was designed by the World Harmony Foundation
to be included as part of the UN60th Anniversary Ceremony and Celebration
held on October 24, 2005 at United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
The Harmony Bell can be rung by all people who believe in making commitments
to Peace.
The World Harmony Foundation was awarded Accreditation and Consultative
status to the United Nations Environment Programme's Governing Council
as of February, 2005.
Our Global Initiatives for Peace and Environmental Education program will
bring Heads of State, Parliamentarians, and Mayors with Community and Business
Leaders together with Students and Educators from around the world by creating
partnerships with the common goals of developing and building Cultures
of Peace with Sustainable Environments for present and future generations.
WHF promote “Eight Harmonies” in our mission: Harmony
between Human Beings and Nature; Harmony between Country and Country;
Harmony between People and Society; Harmony between People; Harmony
between Religions; Harmony in Economic Development; Harmony between
Cultures, and Harmony within the Human-self body (which is human healthy).
During the UN 60th Anniversary commemoration, our Harmony Bell for Peace
was first officially rung by Secretary-General Kofi Annan, president of
the UN General Assembly Mr. Jan Eliasson, and H.E. mr. Minhea Motoc,
Permanent Representative of Romania to the UN and President of the UN
Security Council for the month of October 2005.

of Timor-Leste, became the first Head of State to ring the Harmony Bell,
along with Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, H.E. Dr. Jose Ramos-Horta, who is

Among Civilizations, we would like to support the Alliance in its work
with religious and spiritual traditions, and would be prepared to speak

Union General, who is a noted philanthropist, and who would be willing to
attend the 7 February meeting in the UN General Assembly at the
culmination of world Interfaith Harmony Week with our donation.

appreciate an invitation letter so that her visa application could be
presented in China. The web sites of her organization are www.wuca.net and
